Hi all, noticed a wet patch under the front valance. :-? Have heard about wet patches left by the air con but I hadn't been using it on the previous run out. Got down to investigate further and to may relief it was water and it smelt of windscreen wash so no real panic. :) Couldn't really see a great deal. Has anyone else had this sort of leak? Any advice welcome. :y

I always seem to have water underneath the front valence after filling the washers. I assume it might have started after our cold spell during winter, I might have a crack in the casing somewhere.

Same here - must have a good nose & find it. Presume as mine is over the near side its probably the headlight washer circuit leaking.

May just be the washer pump/s are not seated correctly in the resevoir.

Headlight washers possibly leaking or associated pipework. :y

Thanks to Vx it's front bumper off to investigate further - I suspect the washer bottle has split on the seam and will need replacing.

Been there, had that! It turned out to be the plastic hoses from the windscreen washer tank that had turned hard and allowed them to vibrate and eventually crack. You need to get the front bumper/valance off because the tank is screwed onto the back of it and is not accesible any other way. Not a long job and quite easy. Just use rubber or silicone tubing when you do it.
Thinks! No-one has drilled the front valance to fit anything have they- like a new number plate? If they have thery have probably gone straight through the washer tank because it sits butted up the rear of the valance.
