right, for starters you have
48 Battery Voltage Low
57 Idle Air Control Voltage Low
73 Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low
94 Hall Sensor Voltage High
as they are all voltage related.....have you checked the battery / alternator function?
-
yes charged the batt back up and still on joy cant understand why the fuel pump is not working?
-
V6 fuel pump does not run until engine rotation is detected by the crank sensor.
You had a 73 stored (crank sensor)....are you sure the new sensor is a good one?
-
sensor was brand new the plugs spark
-
Ive heard of no maf attached causing a non start prob.
can you swap with another? or disconnect and try, then reconnect and try?
-
so i will try unpluging the maf but if the maf was broken would the stop the fuel pump working ?
-
Is the crank sensor a genuine Vauxhall one?
-
as above make sure crank sens is a gen vaux one ,had same problem with a 4 pot a few years back the local gararge mechanic had car for two weeks he put on new fuel pump /relay three crank sensors still wouldnt start, was advised by this group to put gen vaux hall sensor in use eng number for parts desk not chass num as i found out (three types for 4 pot) fitted it myself started first time .hope that helps
-
it wasnt a gen one i fitted be it still sparks the sparks plugs and would the code 73 point to the crank sensor?
-
Try disconnecting the maf sensor mate, had same problem with mine, replaced alot of stuff and no joy, pulled plug of maf and hasnt looked back since. The reason you could be getting low voltage faults is grinding over car and voltage dropping below 11 :y

thanks guys will give all this a go in the morning and fingers crossed it will be good news :y
