Title: Temp gauge hi
Post by: brett wood on 14 May 2010, 17:27:46
When I drive my gauge sits between 90 and 95 mark in traffic it will go up to between 95 and 100 and the fan kicks in when I stop the fan is running and if I turn the ignition back on the fan runs for a short while and then stops the gauge then goes to 100
now I do suspect there is a blockage in the rad from an oil cooler failure with the previous owner I would like to take the rad off and pour some kind of acid into it to dissolve it any suggestions on both welcome

Start by flushing the coolant a few times.  Normal running temp is just under midpoint on gauge, fans should cut in just above midpoint

Careful, the main core of the rad is ally.  :y
