is the car on a level surface ? vauxhalls are notoriously bad when low on petrol if they are not level  :-[ :-[
you do not need to bleed petrol engines  :y

£10 is not a lot of petrol(less than 2 gallons)and if parked on a slope it may not be enough to be picked up so try putting some more in and make sure the car is on flat ground :y.

I had this problem on one of mine a while ago could not get any power to the fuel pump. There was power out of the relay but not at the fuse so as I had to move it I jumped a supply to the fuse to start the car once started I removed the link and it stayed running never had a problem since.
