Could the person who stopped and helped my Dad at Sainsbury's, Bridgemead last Wednesday please contact me. You were totally right and you have saved the car from being scrapped as well as saving Dad a lot of money. You wouldn't take any reward last week but we want to thank you properly .. the least we can do is to buy you and your wife a slap up dinner.
Please e-mail me at sarahbulton@gmail.com

Isn't our OOF hero going to step forward & reveal himself! ::) Oooer! ;D

Well Done. I don't think this GENT will reveal himself though. Vanity Prevails, if that is the correct term.
I have never heard of Bridgemead myself.
Like I said WELL DONE to the true Gent.

I agree with Diane, they probablt wont reveal thier selves but I do hope they at least contact Sarah.

A week now and no reply.
Shame as we would have liked to say thank you properly.
Dad caused a bit of a ruction at his local garage when he went in and told them. They insisted it was hard to diagnose and got upset when he told them a stranger in a car park was able to diagnose all the problems in minutes, and they've all been fixed for less than £150 not the "scrap the car it's not worth spending over £1000 to fix it" they had said. He also threatened to go through all their past bills and see what else they had ripped him off on. manager took exception to that.
So unless anyone knows how else to contact him ... all I can say is I hope you read this, and know we are very thankfull
THANK YOU

Who ever it was is probably being coy .
Can your Dad remember anything about this guys car or did he get to know his first name maybe. Never know we might turn dective and track him down.
or if the guy in question is reading this and doesnt want to be named then PM me and I will shutup and keep your ID private. :y

It could also be that our knight in shining armour is away on holiday. :-/ ;)

Hi sarah, no i'm not Sparticus .
Most supermarket car parks have cctv .
Maybe a word/plea to the shop manager can shed abit of light,as to the "hero's " ID.

No go there i`m afraid sandune they`ll quote data protection act.....It does look like this act of goodwill will go unrewarded....
-
Bridgemead is just west of Swindon. So yes, he's probably on hols. Or drives a Taxi perhaps?
-
As far as CCTV goes and data protection act, I believe but I may be wrong, that any CCTV footage that features yourself you can request a copy of, so any shots that feature your father and Spartacus you (your father) will be able to get.
