Title: overheating 2.2 petrol / lpg

Evening all...
Ran to brum and back on thursday (200miles) purred along fine.
temp around 87 constant 24mpg on LPG

Today ran around locally and temp up and down between 87 up to nearly 100 ..  Fan running a/c on  top hose to rad really hot.  any suggestions or things to try or test.

Darth did cambelt and pump a couple of months back.

never got mine to go above 95 in temp, only time its near 100 is after its been switched off, then back on shortly after, within seconds its back to 80.

Assume fan is kicking in?

Did you check the water level?
Check it after the car has cooled down

Right

removed rad top and bottom hoses and lots of milky looking water came out (oil in water ?) ran lots of fresh water through system and refilled etc ...  seems ok,

Have been using some oil recently ???

does my 2.2 have an oil cooler
can i change it myself
any howto guides
or does it say HG on the way

2.2 has no oil cooler in the engine, there is an ATF cooler in the rad, if you have an auto. Sadly using oil in water for 2.2 points to HG  :(
