Title: Coolant low message
Post by: Alldi on 25 May 2010, 22:25:29
Hi all, I've just replaced the coolant  & expansion tank for a brand new one and now I keep getting the coolant low message on the display. The coolant level is fine and I checked the connection to the expansion tank sensor and all seems fine, I even disconnected the battery to see if that would clear the message but it hasn't, so is the expansion tank sensor knackered or have I missed something? >:( Thanks

When the engine is cool, give the coolant bottle float a few gentle pokes with your finger, see if it does any good, if not then probably a faulty sensor? :-/

Would that not be better with a pen rather than bare skin?

EDIT: probably fine unless you poke yourself in the eye after  ;D
