Title: 2.6 Saloon 2001 Seat Replacement

What's the best or correct way to replace the front seats (with side airbags) so the airbag light doesn't come on?

disconnect battery wait 10 minutes
un bolt seat making sure you put the red locking tab in the seat belt pretensioner
unplug the wires remove seat
put in new seat in the car plug in all the connectors bolt seat down
remove red locking tab from pretensioner
reconnect battery

Thanks for the quick reply. Might be a daft question but where is the locking tab for the pretensioner?
I have replaced many interiors in my time but none as yet with air bags in the seats. Just don't want to mess up and end up paying out to get the air bag light reset.

the tab is normally locted at the end of the pretensioner on a cable and you will see a slot that it fits into

The red locking tab is for the mechanical seat belt pretensioner & I'm sure that's only applicable to th eolder cars. I'm sure your car will be like my mini facelift & not have the red lock tabs
