Title: MV6 shocks
Post by: manny on 31 May 2010, 00:04:49
Is there any difference between MV6 shocks and standard ones? Im going to fit bilsteins to my mv6 . I thought it was the springs that made it sit 15mm lower? I want to lower it by 30mm with eibach springs.Im in two minds to change just the springs or go for the new shocks also. Car has only done 60K And shocks look to be good so would i see an improvement with the bilstein shocks? Any advice welcome.

Yes, differant part no. differant damping rates.

There is mention on here of bilstien shocks and stienmetz springs being a good combo.

Personally I think your doing the right thing changing both at the same time.
I am also the person that rates bilstein shocks with Steinmetz springs which I might add Eibach make the springs too steinmetz's spec.
I am confident you will not be dissapointed as I have also bought the same setup for my wifes elite estate.
When you have fitted them let us know your opinions
