Title: Exhaust bolts help

Hey all.I bought a new exhaust for the v6 and can't get the bolts after the cats undone!have soaked with penetraiting fluid for 3days and still joy!should I cut them off?and should they have springs on them to stop them breaking as most other cars do!

No springs.
I suppose you could go to your local ATS/Kwick fit/exhaust place & ask them to use their oxy/acetylene bottles on them. I ended up drilling out the broken bolts, re tapping & then used stainless bolts.  :y

They are threaded on the one joint then?if so can I drill them out and replace with bolts and nuts?

You can, maybe with spring washers or shake proof nuts.  :y
It amazes me that Vauxhall decided to thread the bit you're NOT going to replace ie the down pipes. If they'ed threaded the exhaust there wouldn't have been a problem as you'd be replacing it.  :y
