Hi guys
Great forum btw and finally got me a 2.6 CDX Manual mmmmmm lol in black X plate, but it failed the MOT today, on a headlight :( the tester said that the passenger side head light was a new one, but from a LH drive model, thus the beam was totally out, question is, is this adjustable, or do i need to but a total new unit and have it fitted.
Also how hard is it to fit if i need to , they are the zenon ones so a little worried lol
Any help would be great
thanks
Tony

I may be wrong but I believe there is a lever at the back of the lamp which can be flicked over to interchange between rhd/lhd. :-/
welcome to the forum by the way :y.
-
the lever flattens the beam making it legal for use in other countrys...
this means it does not provide much light.
get the correct handed one :y

Can you not just change the lens?
-
easier to change the whole lamp than muck about with an hot air gun. lamp al come complete anyway.

Are they easy enough to get out???
-
looking again at your post im assuming you have the hid lights. ( cirlcle beam )
as some one has mentioned the beam pattern is adjustable via the lever in the headlight.
chances are ther is nothing wrong with the headlight. (tester not aware of this feature) and that the lever has been moved losing the uk kerb kick up required.
try it against a wall
( headlight pattern that is)

I'll check this out tomorrow, its having the sterring idler done in the morning, then apart from the headlight im all up and running, just 1 small issue on the running, but im sure its a sensor somewhere, god knows where though lol

only time had problem with light was a nakerd motor for the light, made lights out of sink. have 2 spares in boot just in case now.
