G cams are inlet, A cams are exhaust
-
thanks jamesv6 they look the same to me didnt want to mix.
-
hi so what would happen if they were mixed and u started the car up
thanks
-
I had mine back to front when I did an upgrade to 3.0ltr cams some time ago...it did run ok but never seemed to be as expected.....then entered Daz...when he did my last cam belt change he noticed the error and sorted them out in correct place..must now say when you floor it car goes like a rocket..so don,t think you will do any harm but just get poorer performance.

hi how did your car idle when they were wrong ?
-
Idle wasn,t too bad,as I have always found the V6 does tend to be about 650 with A/C on and 500 without...even with them now corrected idle doesn,t seem much different but rev band is total and above 4k it is like a rocket which it never used to be.

ok nice1 m8 i was just asking cos i thought i did the same thing when i stripped my 3.0 i layed everything out in a safe area well that what i thought .my boy got in there and decided to mess around with it all and got all mixed up the sprockets aswell as cams lol but i got a very uneven idle and can not find a fault anywhere but also goes like a rocket strange
take care
