Hi everyone. I need advice on what to do as my steering wobbles when I turn to the right even when standing still at a junction, can anyone give me some advice what it is. I am not really mechanically minded. :question

Could you expand more on your explanation.
Generally when steering and wobble are mentioned in the same sentance the first thing we think of is wheel balanancing or warped brake disks. But you say this wobble is there whilst not in morion.
Are you saying the steering wheel is wobbling on it's own, or has a wobble whilst trying to turn it.(just re-read) it's when turning to the right.
Sounds like your drive belt could be slipping.
With the engine off and the key out of the ignition (Safety first) lift the bonnet and check the power steering fluid level, if that is ok, then visually check the condition of the auxilary drive belt for damage, then check the tension of the belt. This is normally about 12 mm movent on a stretch between the pulleys (Others will advise more acurately as this is jst a quick guide)
Does the belt squeal/slip when you rev the engine, are there any sign of oil that have splashed/run on to the auxillary belt.
Do not put your hands anywhere near the belts with the engine running at any time.

power steering releated, check fluid level but could be a tired pump. See what others say though.

As the others have already said,
Check PAS level, check for belt slip, failing that it does sound like a lazy power steering pump. When you say the steering wheel wobbles, I assume you mean that it 'pulses' in your hand when you turn right. It is common for slipping belt or lazy pump to cause this especially when you get nearer to full lock.

It gives more assistance at lower speed to assist tight turns and parking but less assistance at higher speed to aid stability

Thanks everyone for your replies. The power steering goes heavy sometimes also, this can happen when I am turning. I will check all the above and come back to you over the weekend. Thanks again :y

servo tronic power steering, alters pas resistance according to road speed and settings via tech2.
Not the issue here though ime.

The steering can become heavy at any time and at any speed. Where will I find the power steering bit to check & top up with fluid if needed :question

The power steering reservoir is at the back left hand side of the engine (as you look at it from the front of the car) and is made of white plastic.The lid is a screw on type with an electrical connector on it and may have a picture of a steering wheel on it.There are a couple of markings on the outside of it for fluid level.I hope that helps.

Dont think so. Thats the brake fluid resevoir. Power steering is circular black bean can size near to battery. Unscrew top, wipe attached dip stick and place back on top without screwing on. Remove and read level. Should be between marks.

Sorry for the misleading info I was having a senior moment (again) but at least the op now knows where they both are.

The liquid level is okay, any other ideas. :-X
