Title: LSD..????
Post by: jordan681 on 04 June 2010, 23:50:11
Am the proud owner of a 2000 (facelift) MV6, and i want to know didthese come fitted with a LSD, if not can one be fitted, if so can it be from a carlton gsi..???

I ask cos the other day was going round a roundabout and the a*se end started kicking out, It doesn't help matters as it has large alloys with extra wide tyres... and thought a LSD would help..

Tbh, LSD would make that scenario worse, especially in the wet. Is the car ex Police?

Agreed. Cars with open diffs tend to behave better in such scenarios because you have to be provoking it to get both rear wheels to break away. If you're having problems losing the back end with an open diff I wouldn't fit an LSD.

that's the key - just think of it as a device for making the second rear wheel do what the first one is doing.....!
