Hi guys and gals as above i have a 2.5 tractor and the diesel pump is leaking fuel from a block with a pipe going to it thats about 2" sq its mounted on the side of the pump with 4 screws/small bolts what im looking for is to buy a new seal do you know where these can be bought from i have tried VX and a couple of companies that repair pumps with no joy
also what is the part and whats its use
TIA

any good bosch diesel centre should be ale to get the seal/gasket/Oring you require :y
-
im being told that you have to buy pump part at around the £300 mark
-
here is a picture of the part on my pump that is leaking it leaks where the black thing meats the pump

this picture is not mine its one i have borrowed off an ebay listing hope the seller don't mind ;D

the black box bit is the throttle control + cable.
unbolt it and slowly pull it way from pump body enough to put instant gasket(blue hylomar) around the flange and tighten back up this is a short term fix.
also check the plate on top of the pump above the black box these tend to leak :y
ive got a pump waiting to be fitted i'll try and get some photo's on tommorow :y

photos would help my engine is very dirty ive only just bought this car and not had the time to clean the engine yet it is leaking oil from somewhere at the front high up not sure where untill i clean it off as the fan has splattered it everywhere
when is your pump being fitted and whats wrong with the old pump

The oil is coming from the pipe above the rad that says turbo diesel it's split :y
I'm fitting the pump myself as fault code 64 won't clear it's been diesel magiced about 7 times.
i'd recomend you change the oil+filter as soon as possible to prevent further damage if the previous owner has neglected it(oil change every 3000 miles)

Its a common one. I've just bought some 57mm alloy tubing and a 57mm silicone 90 deg hose to do away with the plastic turbo diesel bit

Well isn’t this weather blooming typical ive got up early to claen the engine so i can see what im doing and to work on it without getting total mucked up with oil and its persisting it down.
Maybe im better off waiting until Hoofing it has done his pump and got the pics that way i know what im looking at before i start

Is it underneath where the pipe usally splits as ive had a quick look at mine and can’t see where its split

well it's pishing it down here to so will see what the weathers like tomorrow.
you won't see the split until the turbo is preasurising the pipe when under load you might not see it with just reving the engine up. :y

I managed by pure chance to get one from a very nice chap at dealer. I was buying a maf and I mentioned about it and he said there was one on the shelf that has sat for over 2 years and for a £10 its mine.mine now :y
I priced doing it with hoses and was working out around £80.00 mark. The problem was finding one that can handle the preasure and not expand to much or burst.

It cost me £26 for the alloy pipe and 90 deg silicone hose and its a proper turbo silicone hose and good for 15 bar ;)
