My Omega has suddenly decided that it wants to set its alarm off without obvious provocation. This has started over the last week or so, and is seemingly random in occurrence.
I am quite confident that this is not caused by cats jumping on it or vagabonds trying to raid it, etc., but have no idea what the cause might be :(
So, any pointers for diagnosing ? Was wondering whether the onboard system will show a code or similar, as to what caused the alarm ? Perhaps that is hoping.....
I have tried turning off the internal movement sensors, to no avail.....all windows, doors, bonnet, boot and roof are closed properly.
One evening, for example, it went off every 2-3 minutes for around 20 minutes - I ended up leaving it unlocked on the drive for a while, before locking it overnight (with no alarms going off...) and then, more usually, it is just a one-off every now and then.
Help ?

Faulty bonnet switch, short in the rear window sensor or most probably, leaking/failing batteries in the powersounder

As said above if the bonnet switch is ok, not been disturbed then mostly likely it's the powersounder batteries giving up.
Mine started going off randomly for no reason, now the alarm is dead. Not got around to removing or replacing it yet. Most remove it altogether but then there's the insurance issue of no audible alarm, especially if you say it has a working one.
There's an "how to" in the maintenance section of how to remove/replace the power sounder.

Thanks for the comments so far, guys
Actually, at the weekend, I had made an (ultimately aborted !) attempt to change the passenger-side sidelight bulb (man, it's fiddly to get at !)...and had the battery disconnected. Could well be that these gremlins have happened since then......
Will look at the powersounder, via the guide, as perhaps this is linked to battery disconnection. Where can I see the bonnet switch ?

..... Where can I see the bonnet switch ?
Under the bonnet, right hand side, the plunger that's sticking up with a bellows type seal around it (or remnants of) ;)

Gotcha - know where that is, then :)
So, the batteries in the powersounder are button cells, and - I assume - replaceable ?
