Title: atf replacement

hi,going to change my oil in auto box 2002 2.2 has 86000 on clock,can i use any atf oil of equivelent spec to dex 111 and does the filter just need removing and cleaning or will i need a new one :question,are gaskets available form anywere besides vauxhall.thanks.

Guy on Autobahnstormers does gasket set + filter at reasonable price.  Can clean filter though  :y

dex 3 only, oils claiming to superceed dex 3 are unproven in the omega, do not let the parts man sell you dex 4 or 5.

fuchs titan 4000 is a good dex 3 from sikolene/german and swedish, although its all made to the same spec. so in theory any dex3 will do.

clean the filter, and you could use an instant gaskit goo of the correct type instead of the proper gaskits.

so its possible to do the job quite cheaply with just gaskit goo and 6 or 7 litres of dex 3 :y

I use a garden potting up tray (About 3 foot square) to catch the spill when you take the sumps off.
