Title: engine cuts out!

hi!
am a newbie to this!!
when i put my foot on the clutch the cars stalls or when slowing down! which is not good having no power steering round a bend! doesnt even tick over now just cuts out! have just had the front exhaust pipe done and has got worse!

Is the car well serviced?  sounds like Idle control valve / throttle body / breathers want a clean.

Also check for fault codes, may be something logged to pinpoint an issue.
