Title: lack of fuel possibly

car seems to have developed a stutter. when i pull away it feels like its going to cut out for a bit then all of a sudden acelerates. once i get to about 35-40 its ok. new plugs and leads a few months ago, possible fuel filter fault??

not since i bought it last march, i have a new one in the boot i bought when i got the new plugs, but i cant get the old one off.

so its unknown then? you need special set of pliers to get it off

i'll have to sort it quick now. just wondering if pete elite has a set, havent seen him on line for a while now though, hes only local to me.

Get 2 flat bladed screwdrivers and pry off one end at a time, fiddly but do-able :y

I managed to change the filter on my first Omega years ago without special tools but I can't shift the filter on this one.

I have just ordered a set of Draper pliers http://www.drapertools.com/b2c/b2citmdsp.pgm?pp_skmno=40106&ipadd=.

Have you paperclipped it for fault codes?

Obviously no harm in banging a new fuel filter on there, but I wouldn't have thought this is your problem.

when you change the filter change the O-ring in the cap same time, befor putting it on. can get old one's out with a bent tip screw driver or a wire hook. :y

Its not an O-ring its two plastic clips, one each end ;)
