I have seen something that may make me sell the Omega, a lot would depend on the test drive and what i could get for the miggy.
2000 on a V reg 2.5 elite, 148,000 miles, with the exception of the drivers seat heater everything works, there are no nasty rattles, bangs or knocks and she pulls like a train.
SGI LPG kit that will be certified prior to sale
Parrot bluetooth kit
H&K ipod kit
Reverse sensor kit
Alpine amp upgrade from std bose setup
Cream leather
tinted windows
New wishbones, idler and front discs fitted 18,000 miles ago
will have 2 replacement cats fitted and a new backbox
cambelt kit done 18,000 miles ago (reciepted)
serviced every 3000 miles
ABS ECU replaced in the summer
plus all the usual elite goodies
I have had the car about 20 months and have done 50,000 miles in it, during that time it has been very reliable and continues to be, but what i have seen could be too much of a bargain
Tax until end of Feb MOT until April (would consider putting another 12 months on it if the price was right)
So what do you think she is worth?

You've spent a few bob there Jay. Problem is, you will definately not get it back when you sell. People will expect the service items to have been done, so cats, cambelt etc, count for nothing. Cany see the bluetooth or ipod kit being much of a selling point. It's a high miler.
The one plus point of course is the LPG.
Look on Parkers and pay a few quid for mileage adjustment etc, then put on your estimate of what the LPG is worth.
Sorry I cannot quote an exact figure.

I agree with Steve
My car is a W 2000 CDX 2.5 Manual, which is a desirable option too. As you know, I have done the same LPG conversion as you, and between Steve and myself we have spent thousands on keeping this car good, incl cambelt v recently, etc.
Whilst, like yours, it's a fantsatic example, I don't think I'd get much for it on the open Market.
It's worth waaay more to me than I could ever sell her for - hence I will keep her for a very long time, and bathe in the ££ I'm saving running on LPG!
-
same here..I spent on the car as much I pay for the price..total costing me more than 15000 £..
I'll burn it instead of giving for nothing..

You could push with LPG to £2000 at most but lucky to get £1500, it is worth more like £3000 to you

To be honest these were the figures i had in mind......
Now i have to decided whether the replacement is worth it and what a gas it would cost for it

The LPG definitely helps a fair bit on these cars come resale, bear in mind that someone paying £1000-2000 for a car is likely to be prepared to pay a bit more to reduce the fuel bill, seeing that an average of 12,000 miles in a year will cost ~£2400 running on petrol! I certainly would, and indeed have done ;)
If it's manual that will help too as they're more difficult to find especially in Elite trim. Other than that, none of the rest of the options will really do much to raise it above the market rate.

A Fool of Myself. When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically
thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most ... :y

That's a nice Elite with th irmscher kit...
I've seen early CTS's with the same 3.2 in as our Omegas, though now they all seem to be the 2.8.
