Title: A technical query regarding chipping vs re-mapping
Post by: Shackeng on 30 June 2010, 19:09:17
Can anyone advise whether chipping a 2.5td is more advantageous than a remap? If so why please. Is either method likely to give better performance, and/or fuel consumption.

I realise that there are different chips, and presumably, different levels of remap, so I am really hoping that someone has empirical evidence having experience of both methods. :-/

basically a chip is a generic tuning aid(one fits all)
and a remap is for that particular car so does have advantages power and economy wise , however its usually around 3 or 4hundred quid to have it done!!!
