Title: dtc p1614?

went to look at a car today, found codes 1614, which from a quick google reveals incorect imobiliser code recieved or sumat?

and 0460 fuel level sensor circuit malfunction? presume fuel level sensor and somebody put the wrong key in the ignition? or is there more to it than that?

Hiya Chris, code description P0460 =  Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Input Instrument. Could be a loose connector? :-?
P1614 = Wrong Transponder Key Immobiliser. Sounds like the transponder chip in the key was u/s or missing? :y

Do the codes come back if you clear them?

Can't clear the codes as it's up for private sale, the guy got a bit stroppy with me just doing the pedal trick  ;D

He wasn't so full of himself when I red out a hat full of fault codes on his "fault free" car. "well.....you must have done something to bring them up"  ;D
