Post by: 377 on 04 July 2010, 23:12:52
Anyone know the difference between X25TD and U25TD and how I can tell which I have... EPC decode doesn't work on my '96 model

I think the 96 diesel had the U25 which i think has the metal oil filter cover.

96 is changeover point.

U25DT - no MAF, metal oil filter cap, 214/215 ECUs
X25DT - Maf near air filter, plastic oil filter cap, 427/428 ECUs

Thanks for that....

No MAF, plastic filler cap, 214 ECU so other than VX raiding the parts bin for a filler cap it's a U25TD i have then. Seems to chug along well enough though

its not the filler cap mate but the oil filter housing cap that The Boy is reffering to. :y
