Title: Loose child in car dealt with
Post by: Martin_1962 on 05 January 2008, 12:45:34
Followed a 206 with at least 1 loose child standing on the back seat.

What did I see coming the other way?

A Police van

Flashed him down gave the reg and said I think they are off to Tescos

Last I saw the Policeman was following the danger into the child parking area ;D

Well done West Mercia Constabulary :y

I totally disagree with enforment by camera - you see no seatbelt or drunk driver cameras.

I only got stopped reporting a habitual drunk driver because the details came out after his planting.

Use to drive along the dotted line absolutely out of it.

People thought I was strange for thinking it was wrong :o

As I posted some time ago, I once saw a 8-10 years old boy break the windscreen of a Ford Escort with his head, apparently the accelerator jammed while driving in the Costco car park and his father panicked, so crashed into another parked car. The boy was in the front seat (where he shouldn't have been in the first place) and without a child seat or belt... luckily it was an old banger os no airbags.

What really winds me up is:   Two adults in front seats, belted up and a child on the passengers knee in front of the belt...  I'm sure that they think that in the event of a smash that they'll hold onto the child....  we know different don't we :y
