All UK spec use that one.
the continental Y25TD uses a different one.
-
i used to think that all cars used the longer arm apart from the Carlton GSi
HOWEVER, I've just stripped an Omega MV6 that had the shorter arm as well.
I have three MV6s, and only the facelift 3.0 has the shorter arm.
best solution is to measure the drop arm on the bottom of the steering box and get the idler to match. Having different length steering arms on each side will not improve the handling.

Id be interested to know the 2 part numbers youve seen, to see how it ties up in EPC
there is an 'old NLS' arm : 90486012 which has been superceeded by the one we all buy...9195731 which according to EPC fits ALL omega except the Y25TD which we dont have anyway.
Maybe the old one was different?

ALL Uk Omega B's have a 110mm idler arm.
And if they dont then they have had the wrong type fitted at some point in their life
-
I should add, it would be interesting to know how long the pitman arms were on the ones you found with the longer idler fitted to?

I'll get the tape measure out then
