You wont be able to paperclip that......so if you cheapo tech2 the hungarian software will be able to do it :y

so i can use the tech2 interface and software i have?? but the plug is different , what are the pin outs from the vehicle socket??
-
It should fit, if the cable was bought for Vx's :-/
Where are you trying to plug it in?

Good point, where is THAT socket
-
under the flap under the handbrake.. but it looks a different type of socket than what my meega has.....i just don't want to blow my lappy up.
-
the vectra socket is like the 16 pin socket here

-
Its the same socket as the Omega just under the handbrake.
-
Veccy-B under handbrake, Veccy-C near ashtray, both standard 16 pin OBD type connector. Veccy-C is CAN and OBDII, Veccy-B is proprietry like Omega
-
cheers lads, its connected up but cant get the software to connect...
-
guess thats a limitation of the hungarian sioftware
-
Ive had it connect to a 01 2.2 vectra no probs
Presume it works ok on you meega?
-
it works great on the meega.. just got it to connect..not that it tells me anything...protokol 2031 and a couple of other bits. but it wont read the codes for some reason.. it reads them fine on the meega. yes mate thats the problem with the hungarians..ha ha .. but its agout 2 digits cheaper than the real software....as i'm now freezing to death i'll have another play tommorow...i think this vectra needs a gallon of petrol and a match..lol
