Title: Petrol Flap replacement
Post by: Lesopc on 12 July 2010, 15:49:26
Hi all. Does anyone know if there are any tricky issues i might face when i take off my petrol flap and replace it with a new one. It looks on examination like a simple job but just to make sure i thought i'd ask. The car is a year 2000 W reg facelift saloon and the old flap needs changing due to the locking pin seat (plastic ring) on the flap being broken and not holding closed when the car is locked.

Nothing special, simply just unscrew the two torx-headed screws (TX20 or TX 25, can't remember which), take out the old one and fit the new. Comes out as a "unit", so it does not come off from the "hinge-part"  :y
