Title: passenger door handle rod
Post by: geoffr70 on 13 July 2010, 19:22:30
Hello, passenger handle wouldn't open door. Took the door card off and after alot of scraped skin managed to refit the handle/lock connecting rod (after a bit of straightening). The door opens from the outside now, but the plastic retaining clip on the rod doesn't seem upto it. Has anyone got any clever solutions as I think it will eventually work it's way off again? Thanks

Is the retaining plastic end still complete? I thought they were quite robust when working on one recently. Have you definitely repositioned the little locking bar that has to be swung back over the end knuckle  to stop the parts  popping apart?

Geoff, I've got a complete passenger door here heading for the weigh in place soon. What bits do you need? Or do you want the whole handle/mechanism so you can pick what you need?

Hi, thanks for the offer but I've got a spare one ready and waiting for when this one goes again. Thanks anyway!
