got our v6 omega a couple of months ago with no manual!! car running fine last night wont start this morn. wants to but just wont fire. alam light flashes when doors are locked, i know that might sound silly but not noticed it b4. does the car have an immobiliser as standard, and where? all silly quetions but i am a blonde girly, any help would b really appreciated
-
If im correct if it has the factory alarm it will have an immobiliser as well
-
thanks, do u think the prob sounds like the amobiliser and if so do u no how to switch it off?
-
Alarm light flashing after locking is normal. Is the EML light on (orange pic of engine)
-
The car has more than likely got an immobiliser fitted,to stop the alarm going off insert your key into the ignition and turn it one click so that the dashboard lights up.Don't start the car but instead set the central locking with the keyfob first to unlock then lock. The alarm should stop making a noise now and you should be able to start the car.I hope that helps

Think she means red LED on dash alarm button ;)

Yes or no. Could try paperclip test here http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189022687
Post up results sounds like a crank sensor failing (code 19)
-
if the orange light is the funny looking pic with the z like lightening sort of symble it stays on when the ignition is put on. sorry i sound like such a simple girly. i love fast cars when they work and am useless when they dont!
-
Look at my post above yours and click on the red link. Very doubtful to be immobiliser, if it was the "lightning" light would constantly flash whilst cranking engine. As said click on the link, read it carefully and then test :y

Ignore that. Still suspect crank sensor, sometimes if it`s failing it won`t throw a 19. Can you check if you have fuel to the injectors and a spark at any plug, failed crank sensor will prevent fuel & spark
Edit: video wasn`t aimed at you, see post by Hannahjudesdad ;)

That`s why you got a 135 ;) Slipped out :-? from where :question it`s bolted in down by the oil filter and connected at the rear of the engine just below the lifting eye.
Is your "better" half reading this ;D ;D
