Title: 2001 omega 2.6 cdx wont start (electrical ?)

just parked my car up locked it up went into the house for 5mins came back to the car unlocked it fine go to start it and the alarm sounds for a second as i turn the key and nothing . now the dash lights are flasing every now and again and nothing electrical will work i cant even lock the car up the alarm sounder seems to be making some funny noises i've managed to disconnect the battey negative but that was a pain as the alarm kept going off but i got around that by having the ignishion on the 2 postion which allowed me to disconnect the battery .
any ideas ?

If i remember the battery has to be disconnected within 15 seconds of turning the ignition off.
Does sound like the battery has drained though.....

will test now
