Title: ABS/TC Light
Post by: valliant72 on 19 July 2010, 17:11:18
It seems my Abs module has bit the dust. Ive read that its a thin wire breaks off of the board inside. which would explain why when u push the connector it works again and the light goes out. Is it possible to repair this yourself? Or does anyone have a spare they would like to sell?

Consensus is that it's too small to make a repair without specialist equipment. Best option IMHO, is to have it refurbished by BBA Reman or similar. That way, you can be sure that the unit will have the correct configuration, as it'll be the same unit.

Cost just over £100 IIRC and they turn them round in a couple of days.

Just had mine done last week by BBA Reman. £128 inc VAT and carriage (one way). Took a week as they are quite busy now. Didn't matter though I was doing other jobs on it. I wouldn't even attempt to fix it myself. Fee includes 2 yr guarantee for peace of mind. All is ok now! I'd recommend them.
