If i were to change the engine in my miggy, how would this work out with things like ECU, wiring, electrics etc...?
I am thinking of a V8 (Northstar, LS1 or LS7) or a Straight 6 (akin to Lotus Carlton G36GET).
I'm guessing that the speedo and rev counter for example would not be calibrated right for these engines and give incorrect reading and wouldn't simply plug straight in.
Also i would of course need bigger wheels to fit larger anchors. How would this affect the speedo readings?
Any knowledge may be very useful in getting this project moving along.

G36GET will slot in, but needs a single wiper conversion, otherwise it won't fit! ;D
Gearbox will need to be upgraded, manual LC will 'fit' but needs some 'adjustment' to the gearbox slot with a big hammer.
I think the S6 would affect handling, weight would be too far forward, better off with LS1/7.
As your donor is a 2.0 thats got cable driven throttle so no DBW stuff to worry about, speedo should remain accurate up to 17" wheels i think :-/

You got some good ideas Tunnie, but like the idea of keeping engines as accurate as possible to the true vehicles. Do you reckon i should put some bricks/cement bags in the boot to throw the balance back the other way. LOL. Seriously though i would have a hard think about weight distribution and handling as i plan the project which as you may tell will take TIME and will be done properly.

Any ideas on where to get a decent well fitting single wiper conversion kit Tunnie???

Nope, sorry. Person you want to speak to is omegatoy, he did the LC coversion himself, i'd drop him a PM :y
LS1/7 would be easier and cheaper to source though
