Title: Coolant Warning
Post by: DaveA on 18 July 2010, 23:01:30
Just returned from my holidays today, warning coolant level showed. Coolant level OK temp gauge  OK, got me home :y.
What do I need to do, to replace sensor, or could
there be another reason for the fault showing?

I drive 2.2 on 02 plate.

Help Please
Is the coolant sensor normally open or closed.
have expansion tank on bench, I filled it with water. checked it with meter which (peeped) Let it empty (nothing). Is this correct. Float ok.

 ......

Closed when the level is OK hence the sensor can be by-passed by bridging the connector under the bottle. A nice new shiney header tank is around £30  :y
