Changed my cambelt today, mine had a metal pipe running in front of the camcover which attaches to a metal canister. This impedded me a bit.
The question is what is it for and is it air or water that is in the pipe and canister??
Any ideas??
This pipe is not shown on the DVD of how to change the cambelt and so it must only be on the mini-facelift at a guess.

Assuming you dont mean secondary air injection stuff, it will be aircon pipework...

Is this not part of the aircon sytem? It always has condensate on the outer part in summertime when its humid on mine....

There is another pipe that comes from the canister and goes upto a black vaccum operated valve of somesort which is bolted to the rad fans. There is also another canister close buy which is connected to the main air-con pipes which run across the pass side bank area.
