Hi Duggs,
Do you have kids? Reason i ask is because we did the wifes C-Max for this reason. It saves on the endless ''The Suns in my eyes'' moans from the back seats ;D
As for temperature, it does help a little, but ultimately you are still going to have the windscreen and front side windows untinted, so if it's a hot day it's still gonna heat up.
The wife had a choice of three tints and went for the middle shade, as the darkest looks like limo glass. I thnk she made the right choice. 'Max' is black too so it looks the part :y

I actually took my tints off, i'd say two trains of thought.
I think they heated my car up, black absorbs heat and I felt a noticeable difference between my front and rear windows when I put my hand on them.
The other way is they stop glare/sunburn/UV(?) through the sides when carrying passengers, I didn't see the point for the 2 weeks of the year when we have sun 8-) You will probably have your aircon switched on more but that's irrelevant to me as I never switch it off!

there's nothing quite so tacky as tinted windows.
I bought a car recently with tinted windows and had to pull over on the way home at a Motorway services to do an emergency tints removal, 'cos I was fed up of looking like a tit.

imo tint's are a must if you have kid's as they reduce uv ray's getting into the car, it also helps if the windows were broken by holding the glass in place...
i have always had my window's tinted on every car i have owned, and the miggy i have now i did myself, black on black look's coooooool :)
