Title: Really Need Your Help Pls.
Post by: wesagog on 22 July 2010, 18:03:07
Hi all,,,
I have omega B 2.0l model 1996 and I have two problems;
The first is the left rear door is locked and not open with the other doors and I tried to open it from inside but it's not work, the lock is stuck.
The 2nd, I want to ask if there is any way to clean the evaporator of the AC system because I feel the blowing of the air is not as in the past.
Your help will be really appreteated.
Thank you all

1. Sit in the back seat, lock then unlock the car while gently pulling up on the button. May take a few goes but it should pop up. You will need to change the solonoid on that door once you've opened it up.

2. Get it to an aircon specialist to pressure and vacuum test. It may have leaked out somewhere. The tests will show where the fault is.

Dear Welung666,
Thnks for your advice...
I tried to open the door according to your instructions but it's too hard to pull the button, if there is any other way please?
-Regarding the AC system, the problem is in the air blowing not in the air tempreture, it's cold but the fan blowing is week.
Thanks for your support.

It is accessable under a flap that is in the wiper scuttle, at the front of it, on the passenger side. It is held in by two clips ;) ;)

Yes :y

As for the door lock; Welung's advice is spot on and it will pop up eventually, either when unlocking the car with the fob, or using the manual technique as described, with maybe using a pair of pliers on the button. ;) ;)

Hi

Pollen filter is at the rear right handside of the engine compartment when you are stood looking from the front of the car backwards. When you take it out and find it is all blocked up with dust etc. Give it a clean with a brush and tapping it gently on something before putting it back just as a temporary measure until you get a new one. They are about £10 sterling approx.

Is it possible the deadlock mechanism is stuck? You wouldn't be able to pull the lever up if that's the case, right?

No, because it is one of the rear doors that has the problem which has not a separate lock, and the drivers door, plus the other two, are unlocked. ;) ;)

That does not necessarily mean that single door is not stuck in a deadlocked position?

I have always understood that once the main drivers door lock is undeadlocked the rest are no longer in that mode.  Am I wrong? :-/ :-/ ;)

Thanx all for your attention,,,
Regarding the rear door, it's the only right one behind the driver is not work with the center lock, all the other are working and it's not able to pull up the button. I tried to do that with "lock and unlock" the driver door but no way.

Unlock it manually using a coat hanger, had to do this a couple of times in the past to the drivers door ::) ::)
