Title: Header tank
Post by: johny5 on 24 July 2010, 00:52:44
Hi, im thinking of replacing my header tank as mine has gone a horrible browny beige colour, id like a nice original clear/whitish plastic one to make the engine bay look like new agen.

Are they very expensive new?

Not too bad then. Do they sell aftermarket ones too?

you could put a request in to your local breakers as soon as a new one comes in to let you know.. i've done this in past and only waited 4 days

I may just go and buy a new one as i want it to look new, ive seen those chrome header tank covers, they look pretty good. Maybe a cheaper option?

Buy new from dealer, esp if yours has the coolant level sensor.

Most 2nd hand ones will have gone brown, and many have tired sensors. Additionally, there are different types, depending on engine
