My auto box had been gone for a while. Got a replacement autobox, it is an ar25 but it was going cheap. I'm split between two minds, either just put the auto box in, but need a bit of an experienced hand with that just becuase i've never changed an auto before, or no. two, convert to manual, I current also have a manual on it's last legs that I drive so have a donor car for the conversion, but again would need a hand as never done a conversion.
So what might ye all recommend, and for either job, is there anyone close by looking to earn a few bob? near south london?
cheers

Put an ar 35 in instead, the 25 is not strong enough for that engine as stock. Then you can chip it and make a proper engine.

Very kind of you to offer, but me and the car need to be in the same place - ie in close proximity to the mechanic.
And the distance between me and him/her is simply a practical/cost issue. There's no point in a 300 mile round trip as that would negate any saving made!
