I have a Prodrive bootlip spoiler to attach to my car and would like to know the name of the adhesive foam that i need so i can buy some .
I suppose it would need to be quite thin but very strong .
Is it the same stuff they use to put the badges etc on ?
Thanks

I thought they were stuck on with some super tough adhesive, perhaps using thin tape on the edges & a bead of tigerseal or similar down the centre might be the way to go, the tape will hold it steady while the adhesive goes off,,,, someone who has already done it might come along shortly & have a better idea. :y

I needed some to rebond my spoiler back on. I was advised to get this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sika-Flex-Sikaflex-255-adhesive-body-kit-windscreen-etc-/250669108594?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item3a5d0b0d72
Which I did. I haven't used it yet though. I think it will be the business.

Sikaflex is easily removed with meths BEFORE it cures.
Use meths to degrease bootlid and lightly abrade the area with a medium grade wet & dry for a good key

I heard you don't need too much Sikaflex, so there should not be any oozing out. Let us know how you get on.

I have a second hand bootlid so i will be doing it off the car which i think will be easier (for me anyway ;D)... i'll try and draw round it first so i can see where to "key" with wet n dry .Then attempt to fit the spoiler and use some kind of tape to hold it till cured .... I have it all planned in my head but wether it works out that way is a different matter ... just hope it doesnt end up a mess ;D ;D

use some masking tape, better to do this and not need it than get mess everywhere and make a mess of your boot and kick yourself afterwards for not using it. You know how it goes, you think to yourself it will be ok, but you always end up making a boob somewhere if you don't prep properly!
