Title: removing headlight units, any tips?

im removing the headlight units tomorrow to clean them up, i did a test area on the nearside lamp with some "Pink Stuff" wet 'n' dry 1200 and 1500 and Autoglym's resin polish, and it polished up well but i want to get to the edges properly rather than masking up so..

is there anything to lookout for or any difficulty's when removing the units?

i will be posting before and after pic's Monday probably as im away this weekend!

any advice would be appreciated thanks!  :y
