Might have found one that looks a little less crazy than the original item but still in keeping with a V8Star replica. Looks like the one that used to sit on the butt of the BTCC Cavaliers/Vectras.
Opinions welcome.

Will find again then post for all to see but alternatively look up BTCC Cav or Vectra images online.

I was thinking.
Instead of THIS(http://i773.photobucket.com/albums/yy19/Lesopc/vlnmiggy.jpg)

How about THIS(http://i773.photobucket.com/albums/yy19/Lesopc/btcccavback.jpg)
Subtle might be better for a V8Star replica????
-
Besides, i cannot seem to find ANYTHING like option 1 anyway???
-
J.C's 95 (IIRC) Cavalier.
We had them made specially, so finding one to copy is as much of a challenge as finding a V8Star spoiler?
Personally, I don't think the spoiler will work (in the looks department) as well on an Omega either.
-
I think for the replica to work it will need a spoiler of sorts.
Any suggesstions...................anyone????????????

I think something like that cav one would look much better than the racer's spoiler. But personaly I'm not really convinced by the idea of a race car replica as a road car, and I think your LC tribute was a better idea. That V8 Star series Omega isn't really an Omega anyway.

time for some lessons in fibreglass construction i feel. :y

This is correct as in truth it is a "sillouhette car" with a GRP body but i personally think it looked awesome in the miggy form and deserves some recognition.

Tell me more?

never done it myself.. read an article in a (vw) magazine of a guy who made a replica tt using a scirrocco base. (why?) all the panels were reconstucted out of fibreglass with suprising results if you know how.

I'm guessing that this is an idea for creating a whole new body shell????
Maybe a bit too extreme for me.

smaller components can be made also.

Like maybe a false bonnet louvre (about 1ft x 1.5ft with straight left to right slats)?????
Straying from the spoiler question a little now though.
