I have had intermittent tc light for about a month with people saying abs ecu is on way out.
I get the tc light when I accelerate over 5000rpm, then if I continue to accelerate I get the EML which is giving code 21 (throttle position sensor high voltage).
I can only presume this is related as the tc must use the tps.
Could this be as simple as a new tps rather than abs ecu?

any other symptoms?

any other symptoms?
Ever so slight kind of power lack just before the tc light comes on.

Anybody any thoughts on this?

well it doesnt sound ECU related.
as you have a TPS error, could be worth swapping out.
Certainly sounds a good starting point with the info youve given.

The rev counter is also a little sticky. Where is the TPS located? How difficult to change and how much roughly? :y

Seem to have got to the bottom of this problem. The TC light does not immediately point to ABS ECU. I unplugged the TPS with engine running and the TC and EML came on with code 21. This is the exact symptoms I have been getting, along with a sticky rev counter. Have ordered a new TPS for £12 better than the £800 quoted for ABS ECU. >:(
