Hi everyone,
I neen a new crank sensor for my 1999 T Reg 3.0 Elite.
Called Bristol Street Motors and they had two listed (a crossover point between models) so would anyone know which one I need to buy.
Thanks in advance.
Paul.

Hi Paul. You need to get underneath and get the part number off it, its stamped on the head of the sensor itself

Am I able to order one from the trade club?

You need to hold a Trade Card and present it at the dealers

Hi
Take care, my 3L uses 90492006. Only safe way is to check the part number on your existing item!

Have you actually checked the number or is that from TIS? Mine is listed as taking the one ending 2006 but AFAIK all 3.0 (certainly late ones) take 90540743

Fortunately I don't have TIS any more ;) and used the TC web site for the number to order a spare for the boot :y :y :y

Genuine VX is recommended for longevity. :y :y
I fitted a Bosch one from a factor and it's identical to the Vx one but it didn't clear the code 19... It did run fine though :y :y
Replaced it with a genuine Vx, code went but came back about a month later. Been showing a code 19 ever since (18 months) but runs fine. I keep the Bosch one in the boot as my spare :y :y

Vauxhall part for this is Bosch!
Its Bosch management, so everything else is.
Vaux get them in from Bosch, if not its NTK.

To quote another member...
As said before, just because something is made in the same factory as A N Other named brand, doesn't mean that they're made to the same spec. HP beanz are made at Kitt Green .... but they're not the same as the proper beanz.
But I wasn't disagreeing with you... I fitted a Bosch one and still had the fault code... I replaced it with a Vx one and still had the fault code so can't say either way ;) ;)
