my car seems to " skip " a gear or something while driving,
the thing is, when im moving, i think its the 3rd or the 4th gear when the gear becomes free or something, i mean the rpm keep rising but no effect on car.
Once i even had this orange light of a car with a ranch in the middle, but then it went off when i started it the next day.
Oh, and when it becomes free, it takes a while before it catches the gear, and that results with a sudden bounce of the car and a lil bang noise :(

Sounds like you are talking auto box.
Light comes on, feels like the car did a bang as something snapped. - thats the box going into limp mode. If it gets too hot, or detects a problem it jumps to 3rd gear and locks it to "allow you to limp" home. Once you turn the engine off it resets the gearbox ecu and carries on as normal.
Could be a low level of fluid, or depending on mileage may need a fluid and filter change.
But best to check level first

revs flairing is not a good sign ime.
but all you can rearlly do without surgery is service the box fluid and filters and see if it behaves.

I've had this happen too. Always happens with the car in drive. As a temporary workaround to stop it going into limp-home mode, i ease off the gas and nock the selector into 3. This seems to make its mind up for it, selects a gear and the carries on as normal. No need to pull over, switch off and switch on again :y
But oil and filter change soon is definately the place to start :y

I had same problem - changed ATF and filter - problem not resolved, then changed crank sensor and has beeen ok since (8 months). Could be a coincidence I suppose but these 2 pieces of work combined is low cost compared to major surgery on box. Some will probably be along later about changing gearbox solenoids

ok so i i've tried changing the engine oil, ( if dats wat you guys meant ) but it made no effect, i couldnt change the oil filter since it wasnt available.
Anyway, i was wondering if gear oil was something different than engine oil ??
and what else low cost could i do to solve the problem or atleast reduce it ??
Oh and another thing, whenever that orange light is on ( sometimes that is ) the car totally loses its pick, and becomes really slow plus the steering hardens a little :S

Sorry fazeel, think you misunderstood us :(
The autobox has it's own oil and filter. GM say it's for the life of the car but you can buy the right atf oil and filter for the autobox.
Changing the atf oil and filter is probably the best and cheapest place to start resolving your problem :y
