did you buy dealer or private?
If dealer, take it back - not as described under trade desc act.
If private - you should have checked, and buyer beware :-X
-
dealer what can i do
-
Its worse than that.....its a very early Cavalier/Calibra engine if its a C25XE!
-
Defiantly take a big stick with you mate. Trade description and all that.

If the seller described it as a 3 litre car, or it had markings to that effect, or the V5 describes it as such, and it wasn't pointed out to you that it's in fact got a 2.5 litre engine, you have been mis-sold.
As you've bought it from a trader you are legally entitled to some comeback. I'd call the trader and tell him you want to return the car for a full refund, and that you'll go to trading standards, the SMMT, the local press, etc. if you aren't satisfied.
