I have a 2,2 petrol (Z22XE) and I was thinking removing the EGR valve. But couldnt find it? Someone know if this engine dont have EGR? In partscatalog theres is one for this enging.
Please help :)

Yes, the 2.2 does have an EGR. It is right at the back of the engine on the passenger side of the block. Why do you want to remove it? :-/

Thanks. I was looking at the inlet manifoil. Want to try if it increase tho power :)
-
You cannot remove it.
It must be plugged in, but you can blank it off
-
Thanks. I was thinking to blank it. Would I get EML if I blank it?
-
Have some of you blanked it?

It wont make any noticeable difference IMO mate, but if you want to blank it off you must leave it connected. There are manufactured blanking plates for sale on the bay of e but most of the lads on here have blanked theirs using a coke can! (drink the coke first ;D) ;) :y

No but you would if you remove it

Thanks both :) I will try blank it. It will anyway give a cleaner engine, inside of it :)

Does this really make any difference blanking the EGR?
