Title: strange problem
Post by: mathewst on 13 August 2010, 12:39:44
Got a strange problem with the mig.
It only happened two times in teo months but is pretty ackward.
Problem goes like this.
Start the car drive normally and after two or three minutes car suddenly twitches for a split second like it lost its fuel supply then continues to drive normaly, after minute or two it happens again.
Stop the car restart it and it drives normally  :-?
No codes or engine management light.
This occured only twice and I have no idea what is the problem esppecially cause after restart car works normally.
If anyone has an idea I would be gratefull.

Have you run it low on fuel or changed garages where you buy fuel.

Has the fuel filter been changed.

Fuel filter was changed half a year ago.
Car did have less fuel both times but still had two gallons in the tank or little  more than that

You might have stirred up some crap in the tank bottom or maybe some condensate buildup? :-/

That is the possibility Philrich but still wouldn't explain why car after restart worked like a charm   :-?

IIRC with the V6 it is the crank sensor that tends to be the mysterious show stopper but with the 4 cylinder engines the cam sensor is the usual suspect :-/
