Title: Door locking motor
Post by: Shackeng on 14 August 2010, 13:56:26
Hi guys, I'm changing the motor using the excellent guides. However I am stuck trying to remove the clip, which is at the top, ringed red, in picture 8 of Tunnie's helpful 'how to', connecting the bar to the motor.

As it is plastic, I am reluctant to use normal engineering practice, to paraphrase somewhat "If it ain't broke, force it".

Any helpful comments please?

Cheers :y

If you mean the white plastic clip then it has an open side, just push it off the metal rod and the rod slides out. Looking at the pic on Tunnies guide the square plastic part pushes towards the door handle and the rod will just drop out. To refit push the rod back in the hole then turn the square part until it clips back on the rod :y
