Been checking out some flights and the best deal I can find is with Eva Air at £506 return LHR to Bangkok, £1811.00 including the kids.
Anyway the other problem is that Eva Air only have 3 seats think they fly 737's, and as we are 4 folks we ideally need an airline that flys 747's so we can get the 4 seats together. So it will be Thai Airways checking in at £2119.00. These are all return flights only thing is I will be the only one returning :(, will need to change their flights when we get their, as it is too expensive to buy a single ticket it comes in more than a return >:(

3 seats would be better, the wife and 2 kids on one row and you at the
barback :y

Yes I know that's what I would prefer, tried that one this morning, but she'd rather we fork out an extra 300 bucks >:(, which is a waste as that would cover the internal flights and have some change left :(

Have you tried searching on price runner....

No Mike, Eva Air do not operate 737s ex-London (they are far too short -range), they generally use 747s, see

Just don't use the return part of the tickets. It's quite common for people to do this, as returns are cheaper than singles :-?
As long as you don't do it the other way around -- buy a return ticket, don't use the outbound and try to use the return, they will cancel the return because the outbound wasn't used!

Happened to me once a few years back - left me stranded at Schiphol, and I had to pay an extra £150 to fly home with another airline >:( ;D

Last year I was quoted a 1,000 for a one way ticket back from Bangkok, from Eva Air, when I went to their offices, but when I went Eva air online I managed to get them at £346. We lost the original return, as the dates we wanted to come back was outside of the 6 months, sure there is a post on this somewhere in general chat last year ;D
