Title: Rear passenger Air vents (Prefacelift estate)
Post by: MV6Matt on 19 August 2010, 09:34:28
Hi,

The internal direction blades and cage have fallen back into the body of the rear of the centre console. :(

Haynes suggests I've got to dismantle the centre console to get at them. :-/

Can anyone tell me if there's a different/quicker way?

Any advice or experience - please let me know. :y

Butter knife either side of each vent and they pop out easily. Fish the bits out if you can and re-assemble. If you can't repair them give me a shout as I have a few here :y

Wellung! Thank you very much - worked a treat!

Is it common for not much cold air to get through to these air vents? Front ones are fine and blow with some force as the fan is increased - hardly seems to be getting through to the back ones.

Do I have a blocked centre console? Is there often poor connection through to here?

Any one know please let me know!

Has anyone experience of checking for potential blockage to the rear vents?

Much appreciated if you have! :y

Centre console out is the only way to check the rear vent runs unfortunately.
